Podology students provided foot care for the elderly on International Day of Older Persons

Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services Podology Program students visited the Turkish Red Crescent Zeynep M. Nedim Oyvar Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center on October 1, International Day of Older Persons. Accompanied by Instructor Muharrem Tosun and Instructor Meldağ Turhan, the students spent time with the elderly by chatting with them and supported their health by providing foot care.

They came together with the elderly

Students from Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Podology Program, accompanied by Instructor Muharrem Tosun and Instructor Meldağ Turhan, paid a visit to the nursing home. The students celebrated the day with the elderly, chatted with them, and spent quality time together.

Foot care was provided

During the visit, the students accompanied the elderly throughout the day with various activities. In addition, the Podology Program students provided foot care, contributing to a day that was both enjoyable and beneficial for their health.

A certificate of appreciation was presented

At the end of the visit, the Turkish Red Crescent Zeynep M. Nedim Oyvar Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center presented a certificate of appreciation to the Üsküdar University Podology Program for their contributions.

They contributed to intergenerational communication

The event not only helped establish a strong bond between young people and the elderly but also made the elderly feel valued.
