Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Head of Podology Program Instructor Muharrem Tosun and program students visited the Turkish Red Crescent Zeynep M. Nedim Oyvar Nursing Home as part of October 1st Elderly Day. During the visit, medical foot care was provided to the nursing home residents, and various gifts were also presented.

During the visit held on the occasion of October 1st Elderly Day, Instructor Muharrem Tosun and Podology Program students met with the nursing home residents.
The students had the opportunity to use their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the medical foot care applications they performed.

In addition to medical foot care applications, the students, who conversed with the nursing home residents, had an enjoyable time. The visit contributed to the students developing their communication skills with elderly individuals and gaining a sense of social responsibility.

During the visit, where various gifts were also presented to the nursing home residents, a warm and sincere communication was established between the students and the elderly individuals. The event, which supported intergenerational communication, turned into a meaningful experience for the participants.
