On its first anniversary, the Celiac Foundation organized a gala dinner to increase social awareness about celiac disease and draw attention to its effects. During the event, the Foundation presented plaques of appreciation to those who have touched the lives of celiac patients and contributed to supporting them in living more comfortable and easier lives. At the program attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör and Rector's Advisor, Üsküdar University and NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi Group Coordinator Serdar Karagöz, plaques of appreciation were presented to Güngör and to Karagöz on behalf of Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan.
The Celiac Foundation, which started its activities in 2023 with the aim of addressing the shortcomings of celiac patients and facilitating living with the disease throughout Turkey, provides support in education, health, and social needs to reduce the difficulties they face in daily life.
On its first anniversary, the Foundation, with the aim of contributing to social awareness about celiac disease, organized a gala dinner at a hotel in Söğütözü, sponsored by the gluten-free food brand Dr. Schar.
Deputies, bureaucrats, foundation members and executives, representatives of non-governmental organizations, rectors, lecturers, and students attended the program.

In recent months, a cooperation protocol was signed between Üsküdar University and the Celiac Foundation. To increase awareness of celiac disease in Turkey, Dr. Elif Bal Beşikçi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Celiac Foundation, and Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Üsküdar University, had come together.
