Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Perfusion continues to host international training activities with its advanced technology infrastructure and qualified academic staff. Three anesthesiology and intensive care specialist physicians from Jordan participated in a 2-day ECMO simulation training program held at Üsküdar University's Perfusion Laboratory, aiming to gain clinical experience in the field of ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation). Within the scope of the training, life-saving scenarios were experienced through simulation.

Three anesthesiology and intensive care specialist physicians from Jordan, during their visit to Aydın Adnan Menderes University to gain clinical experience in ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), participated in a 2-day ECMO simulation training program held at Üsküdar University's Perfusion Laboratory.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak Visited in His Office

The delegation visiting Üsküdar University within the scope of the training program visited Vice Rector and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak in his office.

Prof. Dr. Ali Kocailik, Head of the Department of Perfusion, Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, was also present during the visit. During the meeting, evaluations were made on ECMO applications, the importance of simulation-based training, and international academic collaborations.

Life-Saving Scenarios Experienced Through Simulation

Within the scope of the training program, physicians had the opportunity to practically experience critical situations that are rarely encountered in real clinical settings but are of vital importance, as well as intervention scenarios for these situations.

It was emphasized in the practical trainings that simulation is one of the most effective methods for gaining experience in the healthcare field.

Üsküdar University Department of Perfusion stands out not only for possessing the most advanced simulator infrastructure used in ECMO training but also for its academic staff equipped with the knowledge, experience, and expertise to provide training by combining this technology with various clinical scenarios.

In this regard, Üsküdar University makes significant contributions not only to Turkey but also to regional countries in the field of health education.

This training program once again demonstrated Üsküdar University's international visibility in the field of health sciences and the strong position of its Department of Perfusion in the field.
