Peer review process conducted at the Graduate School of Natural Sciences

A peer review process was conducted within the Graduate School of Natural Sciences at Üsküdar University. Within the scope of the evaluation, the mission, vision, objectives, and strategic goals of 29 graduate programs were examined, with the aim of planning all activities toward the dissemination, internalization, and continuous improvement of a quality culture.

Graduate programs reviewed comprehensively

The evaluation process, held at Üsküdar University’s Main Campus, was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Muhammed Enis Bulak, Director of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences; Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services; Asst. Prof. Orkun Kozanoğlu, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences; Asst. Prof. Selami Varol Ülker, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences; Hülya Dündar, Secretary of the Graduate School of Natural Sciences; and Dr. Özlem Şimşek, Chair of the Quality Commission and Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

The program also included participation from academics, representatives of administrative departments, external stakeholders, alumni, and students.

Information provided on the evaluation process

The peer review process was chaired by Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services, while a general briefing presentation on the process was delivered by Asst. Prof. Orkun Kozanoğlu, Deputy Director of the Institute.

The presentation shared comprehensive information on the Graduate School of Natural Sciences’ education and training activities, quality assurance system, and ongoing initiatives.

Participation of academic and administrative stakeholders ensured.

With broad stakeholder participation, internal self-evaluations were carried out during the process, and the institute’s strengths as well as areas open to development were addressed from a holistic perspective.

Evaluation process concluded with an exit report

The peer review process concluded with the reading of the exit report by the evaluation team, followed by a group photograph.
