The book “Pandemic and Solitude”, edited by Üsküdar University Head of Sociology Department Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, Research Assistant Berat Dağ and Bengi Çakmak, has been published by Üsküdar University Publications. The book, whose authors include Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, and Prof. Dr. Erol Göka, evaluates the relationship between the pandemic process and solitude within an interdisciplinary framework.

The book “Pandemic and Solitude” has been published by Üsküdar University Publications.
The book includes the deciphered, article, and essay forms of the papers presented at the II. International Solitude Symposium held on December 4-5, 2021.
Additionally, the book contains articles and essays written in response to the impact created by the symposium.
The book evaluates the relationship between the pandemic process and the state of solitude within an interdisciplinary framework. In this context, the book analyzes the relationship between the pandemic and solitude from historical, philosophical, sociological, medical, psychiatric, psychological, political, and artistic perspectives by authors from different disciplines, both domestic and international, and opens up discussion on the positive and negative aspects caused by this relationship.
Among the chapter authors of the book are names such as Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, Prof. Dr. Erol Göka, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Özbek, Prof. Dr. Könül Bünyadzade, Prof. Dr. Jıldız Urmanbetova.
It is also noteworthy that this book serves as an important resource for solving the multifaceted problems caused by the state of solitude, which has deepened its negative aspects with the pandemic process.
