Palestine Ambassador Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish visited Üsküdar University

Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ankara Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish and his accompanying delegation paid a courtesy visit to Üsküdar University. During the visit, education, international students, and potential collaborations were discussed.  

In the meeting held in the Senate Hall of Üsküdar University Central Campus, President of Üsküdar University Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Deputy Secretary General Cumhur Bakır, Head of International Relations Department Peyman Jaferi, and representatives of relevant units were present.

The delegation led by Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ankara Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish included First Counselor Aymen Alhaila and Moayad Fanous, responsible for Consular Affairs.

Education and student-focused studies evaluated

During the meeting, educational relations between Türkiye and Palestine and studies that could be developed between Üsküdar University and Palestinian institutions were evaluated.

The delegation was informed about the university's academic structure, educational opportunities, and initiatives for international students.

The meeting also addressed the educational processes of Palestinian students in Türkiye, existing educational opportunities, and potential initiatives for students. Evaluations were made on Üsküdar University's ongoing work with Palestinian students and new educational opportunities that could be implemented in the future.

Views exchanged for academic collaborations

President of Üsküdar University Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan stated that support for Palestinian students has continued since the university's establishment, emphasizing the importance of further developing relations between the two sides in the field of education.

During the meeting, the development of academic relations and the evaluation of potential collaborations between Üsküdar University and higher education institutions in Palestine were also discussed.

In this context, evaluations were made regarding potential collaboration initiatives between the two institutions.

The visit concluded after gift presentations and a group photo session.
