A new assignment for Özcan Demir, Head of Health, Culture and Sports Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, who has led Üsküdar Üniversitesi to many significant successes in university sports. Demir was elected TÜSF Provincial Representative-Provincial Coordination Board Chairman in the Türkiye Üniversite Sporları Federasyonu (TÜSF) Presidency elections, where 53 universities cast their votes.
The board election, in which the Health, Culture and Sports Departments of universities located in Istanbul cast their votes, was held under the chairmanship of Türkiye Üniversite Sporları Federasyonu President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Günay and Istanbul Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Hacıcaferoğlu.
At the election held in the Conference Hall of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, İstanbul Üniversitesi-Cerrahpaşa SKS Department Head Mete Burak Sönmez, Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi SKS Department Head and TÜSF Executive Board Member Mustafa Doğru, and Yeditepe Üniversitesi Sports Director and TÜSF Board Member Taner Karabulut were elected to the council, carrying out the election.
As a result of the votes cast by 53 universities in Istanbul, Özcan Demir, Head of Health, Culture and Sports Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, was elected chairman.
