Orthopedic Prosthesis and Orthosis Students Met with Experts

Students of the Orthopedic Prosthesis and Orthosis program organized a visit to the Otto Bock company. During the visit, Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician Merve Şenoğlu guided the students through the workshops at Otto Bock, providing information about the devices and materials used.

Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician Lokman Sağlık delivered a presentation to the students titled ‘Upper Limb Prosthesis Applications’. Sağlık, speaking about myoelectric and bionic applications, provided detailed information on how to correctly place electrodes and how the muscles of upper limb patients can be rehabilitated. 

Within the scope of the visit, prosthetic hand usage was demonstrated on students with example applications.
