A technical trip was organized in cooperation with the Health Management Club, operating under the Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department, and the Career Center Department. Students from the Faculty of Health Sciences Health Management department visited Medical Park Maltepe Hospital, one of the strong institutions in the sector, and had the opportunity to observe their theoretical knowledge in the field and examine the sectoral operations on-site.

The program, which saw a high participation from Health Management Club students, began with a special seminar organized by the hospital's Human Resources Unit.

During the seminar, comprehensive information was shared on current recruitment processes in the healthcare sector, corporate adaptation, key competencies sought by institutions in candidates, and strategic skills that lead to success in professional business life.

Operational processes and field dynamics examined

Following the seminar program, students visited different departments forming the hospital's administrative and operational core staff. Within the scope of the technical trip, field examinations were conducted in the Guest Services, Purchasing, Contracted Institutions, Billing and Financial Affairs, and Food Services units.

In the presentations made by unit managers, topics such as team coordination, patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and service management were discussed, and important evaluations regarding the processes students might encounter in their career lives were shared. The transfer of real-world work experiences contributed to the development of students' professional awareness and strengthened their perspectives towards the sector.

Theory met practice in the field

The technical trip, aimed at increasing the professional awareness of future healthcare manager candidates, allowed students to reinforce their academic knowledge with practical applications, and to closely experience human relations management and professional work culture. Students who communicated directly with sector professionals had the chance to shape their career goals more consciously.

The Üsküdar University Career Center Department stated that these types of practical and field-oriented career events, which enable students to meet with sector representatives at an early stage, will continue to increase.
