An event titled ‘The Future of the Paramedic Profession’ was organized for the students of the First and Emergency Aid Department by the Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services. Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician Paramedic Tolga Ayla participated in the event held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus Emir Nebi Conference Hall. Ayla, stating that he is one of Turkey's first graduates in this field, said that 500 thousand people choose the paramedic profession every year.

Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician Paramedic Tolga Ayla, addressing why so many students study paramedicine, explained what can be done after graduating from this department. Ayla said; “Every year, at least 500 thousand students choose the Paramedic Department. Paramedic professionals are now officially being hired by nursing homes. This is a very important step for the future of our profession.”
‘We are the only authorized personnel, apart from doctors, who can administer medication when necessary’
Emphasizing that touching people's lives is a different feeling, Ayla said; “As paramedics, we must provide access to the patient as quickly as possible. In Turkey, we are the only authorized personnel, apart from medical doctors, who can administer medication when necessary. What the state and public expect from us is compassion, tolerance, and understanding towards the patient.” He advised the students, saying, “You must succeed and enhance your skills; if you want to perform your profession in the best way, never lose your compassion.”
Following the question-and-answer session with the students, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Tolga Ayla.
