Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Associate Degree Program conducted 'Personal Protective Equipment Use Training'. Occupational Safety Specialist Lecturer Alev Arslan Kılınç participated in the training. General information regarding the 6331 Occupational Health and Safety Law was provided within the scope of the training.
Occupational Health and Safety Program Head Dr. Lecturer Gamze Kağan opened the training program. Kağan emphasized the contributions of learning through direct experience to professional life.
The training held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus OHS Laboratory attracted intense interest from students.

Üsküdar University Occupational Health and Safety Program Head Dr. Lecturer Gamze Kağan pointed out that the OHS laboratory is present in only a few universities in Turkey. Kağan said; “The OHS Laboratory was established for the first time at our university. Currently, this laboratory is found in only a limited number of universities in Turkey. Our laboratory is the most advanced OHS Laboratory in Turkey and is updated every day. The personal protective equipment, machinery, and equipment related to occupational safety in the laboratory are of the highest quality. Seeing what these pieces of equipment are, how they are used, and experiencing them firsthand is a significant added value for students' educational lives and future professional careers.”
“Applied training will continue to increase in the coming periods”
Dr. Lecturer Gamze Kağan stated that this training was given to first-year students of the Occupational Health and Safety associate degree program and that first-year students would see the laboratory for the first time with applied training at the beginning of their two-year education. Kağan stated that applied training will continue to increase in the coming periods.

Üsküdar University Class A Occupational Safety Specialist Lecturer Alev Arslan Kılınç provided general information regarding the 6331 Occupational Health and Safety Law within the framework of the organized training. She provided theoretical information about what Personal Protective Equipment needs to be used and is actively used in the field under this law, why it should be used, which factors are considered in its determination, its usage rules, and the general features that all personal protective equipment should possess. Kılınç took students' opinions on these topics by creating examples from daily life based on the information she provided.
Following the theoretical knowledge, Kılınç practically demonstrated to the students in the laboratory what kind of clothes they would wear in their professional lives, what tools they would use in the field, how these tools are used, and what they need to pay attention to while using them.
