Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety Department, has implemented another significant grant support to strengthen students' practical training opportunities within the scope of university-industry collaborations. With the education-oriented grant provided by MONATEX company, the aim is for students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical training and to experience the occupational health and safety culture firsthand in a laboratory environment.
The Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory located at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus strengthened its equipment infrastructure with an education-oriented grant provided by MONATEX company.
Within the scope of the provided support, various personal protective equipment and training materials to be used in students' education and field visits were added to the laboratory inventory.
OHS Laboratory Equipment Strengthened
Within the scope of the grant implemented;
• Warning vests with Üsküdar University logo,
• Hard hats,
• Warning and information signs used in occupational health and safety training,
• Various training materials that can be actively used in practical lessons
were made available for use in the Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory.
Applied Training and Awareness Targeted
With this support, the aim is for Occupational Health and Safety Department students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical training, gain awareness and habits regarding the use of personal protective equipment, and also experience the occupational health and safety culture firsthand in a laboratory environment.
Contributes to Increasing Professional Competencies…
Dr. Sertaç Temur, Deputy Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department, and Research Assistant Ender Sezen made significant contributions to the planning and execution of the process, the development of university-industry collaboration, and the provision of grant support.
The grant support, a concrete example of university-industry collaboration, also made significant contributions to strengthening the department's laboratory infrastructure and increasing students' professional competencies.
