Üsküdar Üniversitesi Occupational Therapy Department students visited Üsküdar Municipality Accessible Life Center, one of their stakeholders, on December 3rd, World Disability Day. In the program led by the Head of the Occupational Therapy Department, Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova, Asqarova stated that being there for the 3rd-year celebration, just like for the 1st-year celebration, made them happy.

The celebration brought together individuals with disabilities and their families, Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, Head of Occupational Therapy Department Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova, center manager Ömer Yiğit, and the experts and students at the center.
While Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences has not left Üsküdar Municipality Accessible Life Center alone since its establishment, students collectively observed at the center. They received information from the officials by seeing the technologically advanced therapy rooms, standard therapy rooms, activity rooms, and application areas used for various services at the center.

Şeyda Nimet Akgün, an Occupational Therapist who is an employee of the Accessible Life Center and also a graduate of Üsküdar University's Occupational Therapy department, informed the students about the comprehensive sensory integration room and occupational therapy room at the center. She stated that the visual and auditory technology integrated equipment within the sensory integration room and the extensive facilities available in the room, as well as the families of children who come to the center for sensory integration therapy, are very satisfied with these services.

During the visit, which included Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, Türkmen met with individuals receiving services at the Accessible Life Center and their families. Mayor Türkmen and Accessible Life Center Manager Ömer Yiğit extended their thanks to Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova for the support and cooperation they have received since the center's establishment.
After a group photo session, a promotional video showcasing the services offered by the center was shared in the conference hall. Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova also spoke during the visit, where Türkmen and Yiğit delivered speeches.

In her speech, Asqarova spoke about the benefits of the project and the invaluable service offered by the center, our biggest stakeholder; "We are all potential candidates for disability, we stand with people with disabilities, and we must work for an accessible life."
At the end of the event, individuals receiving services at the center captivated the participants with their prepared performances.
