First and second-year students of the Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety program visited MOLTEK Health Services Production and Marketing Inc., accompanied by program head Dr. Lecturer Feride Kulalı Özdek and Lecturer Dilek Aker.

During the technical trip, attended by 14 students from the Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety department, high physicist Celal Ersoy, the radiation protection officer, first briefly informed about the facility and then delivered an interactive presentation titled 'Basic Radiation Information and Radiation Protection'.

Following a lunch served at Gebze Technopark, Facility Manager and Physics Engineer Serkan Kazan met with the students and provided information about the company's establishment and radioisotope production.

The organization, which started operations with radiopharmaceutical production in 2009 after making the necessary investments in 2007, serves as a facility with 2,000 m2 of indoor area in the Technopark region within Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB). The company, which obtained the first radiopharmaceutical product manufacturing license in CTD format in our country, started production with a single particle accelerator in 2009, then commissioned a second particle accelerator in 2014 and a third in 2015, reaching the capacity to meet the needs of the nuclear medicine sector in our country and neighboring countries.
