The “7th Psychiatry Summit and 14th Anxiety Congress,” organized by the Psychiatry Sciences and Research Association, was held between November 5-8, 2022, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. At the Congress, where all stakeholders of psychiatry came together, distinguished speakers took part. At the Congress, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was among the speakers and gave a presentation titled “Personalized Treatments in Psychiatry.” Psychiatry Specialists from NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, Prof. Dr. Nesrin Dilbaz, Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Noyan, also took part as speakers at the Congress.

The “7th Psychiatry Summit and 14th Anxiety Congress” was held at Elexus Hotel & Congress Center, TRNC. Throughout the four-day Congress, the most current topics in psychiatry were addressed in all their dimensions, evaluating both diagnostic and treatment processes. The topic of a holistic approach in psychiatry was discussed, especially considering functionality. In this regard, information supported by preclinical and clinical evidence was discussed by national/international experts.

At the Congress, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was among the speakers and gave a presentation titled “Personalized Treatments in Psychiatry.” Psychiatry Specialist Prof. Dr. Nesrin Dilbaz from NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi took part as a moderator and speaker in many sessions, giving presentations titled “Where Are We Lacking in Schizophrenia Treatment? - An Overview of Deficiencies in Treatment: The Goal is Sustainable Treatment” and “Bipolar Spectrum Treatment with Case Example.”

Prof. Dr. Onur Noyan gave a presentation titled “Cryptocurrency Addiction?” and Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen gave a presentation titled “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of Anxiety Disorders,” also taking part as a moderator and speaker in many sessions.
The Congress featured national and international experts in the field of mental health
During the 4-day “7th Psychiatry Summit and 14th Anxiety Congress,” national and international experts in the field of mental health organized conferences, panels, satellite symposia, and discussions. As in previous years, this year, in addition to holding joint sessions and sharing content with the Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI); expert names in psychiatric practice, ranging from neuroimaging to genetics, psychopharmacology to psychotherapy, came together to present symposia and panels to share the latest evidence-based information.
