NPCELLAB İTTÜ biotechnology team provided training at the CAR-T Cell Course

The Üsküdar University NPCELLAB İTTÜ Biotechnology Team participated in the 4th Transplantation and Cellular Therapies Congress held in Cyprus. The team took part in the CAR-T Cell Course with a series of educational presentations that drew great interest from participants. 

The presentations focused on current approaches in cell therapy and highlighted scientific and clinical advancements in CAR-T cell treatments.

Current approaches in car-t cell therapy were shared

As part of the course program, team members delivered presentations on several key topics:

Dr. Cihan Taştan, General Director of NPİCELLAB İTTÜ Biotechnology, gave a presentation titled “Chimeric Antigen Receptor Design and Gene Transfer Systems.” He discussed in detail the structural design of antigen receptors forming the basis of CAR-T cells and the mechanisms of gene transfer, emphasizing the role of next-generation vector technologies in enhancing therapeutic effects.

Beyza Aydın, R&D Specialist, presented “CAR-T Cell Structure and New Generation CAR-T Cell Products.” She shared the latest technological advancements in cellular therapies, the clinical advantages of new-generation CAR-T platforms, and innovative methods in production processes.

Muhammet Yılancı, Responsible Manager, spoke on “Manual Production and Characterization of CAR-T Cells.” He explained the manual production stages of CAR-T cells under GMP conditions, along with quality control processes and characterization methods, supported by practical examples.

Raife Dilek Turan, Quality Assurance Specialist, addressed the topic “Fast CAR: Rapid and Efficient Production Approaches.” She introduced the fundamental principles of the “Fast CAR” strategies, which shorten production time, enhance efficiency, and strengthen product quality.

Advancing scientific collaboration in cellular therapy

The training program conducted during the congress made a significant contribution to strengthening the capacity for clinical applications of CAR-T cell therapies in Türkiye and fostering scientific collaborations in the field of cellular therapy.
