Üsküdar University’s Career Center Department continues its series of alumni meetings. Within this scope, graduates of the Neuromarketing Master’s Program from the Institute of Social Sciences came together to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the industry, career opportunities, and the future of the field.

The event, held at the Main Campus Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall, was attended by Dr. Selami Varol Ülker, Head of the Neuromarketing Department, Remziye Çopur, Head of the Career Center Department, Tayfun Gözler, President of the Alumni Association, Mehmet Emin Ağaç, Chairman of Ağaç Group, Instructors Önder Bakal, a graduate of Üsküdar University’s Neuromarketing Program, as well as faculty members and students.
The event began with a breakfast session that created a warm and engaging atmosphere, giving participants the opportunity to connect with alumni and hear firsthand accounts of their professional experiences.

The impact of artificial intelligence on neuromarketing was discussed
The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Selami Varol Ülker, Head of the Neuromarketing Department. Following the opening, Instructor Önder Bakal, one of the alumni, gave a presentation on the effects of artificial intelligence on neuromarketing. Using a virtual survey, he evaluated the societal impact of artificial intelligence and shared insights on its potential risks to human cognitive abilities.
Throughout the event, speakers and participants discussed the relationship between neuromarketing and artificial intelligence, explored future trends, and exchanged ideas on career opportunities in the field.
“Our goal is to strengthen the bonds with our alumni”
Speaking at the event, Tayfun Gözler, President of the Üsküdar University Alumni Association, provided information about the association’s activities. He said, “Our association, established in 2015, regularly organizes alumni events. Our goal is to strengthen our graduates’ connection with the university, bring them back together with their professors, and support them in developing their professional networks.”
Career opportunities and new applications introduced
Remziye Çopur, Head of the Career Center Department, gave an overview of the center’s ongoing projects and announced the upcoming launch of the ‘Alumni Application’, which aims to enhance communication and career development for graduates.

“We must set our sails correctly against the storm”
The final speaker, Mehmet Emin Ağaç, Chairman of Ağaç Group, spoke about the applications of neuromarketing in daily life and the business world. He emphasized that artificial intelligence should not be seen as a threat but rather as an opportunity when paired with effective marketing strategies. Ağaç said, “No one can take the neuromarketing profession away from us. People will always need products, and marketing will always exist. What matters is setting your sails correctly against the storm.”
