The “Volunteer Projects” award ceremony was held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports within the scope of the youth projects support program (2020-1). “My Support Is With You Everywhere Darülaceze Volunteers Project,” which is a social responsibility project carried out by the Therapeutic Brain Mapping and Neurotechnology Association, was selected among exemplary projects by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Project coordinator Dr. Zeynep Gümüş Demir, Lecturer, and project management cycle consultant Dr. Nebiye Yaşar attended the award ceremony, held in partnership with Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Darülaceze Presidency, representing the project.
Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu: “We Supported 250 Volunteer Projects in the Last Two Years”
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu delivered the opening speech at the Volunteer Projects Award Ceremony held in the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Main Building. Kasapoğlu stated: “We have supported 250 volunteer projects in the last two years. You are among us today as part of these projects. We have determined a roadmap consisting of strengthening the volunteer culture, more effective use of technology in this field, regulations for risk management, volunteer management, strengthening inter-institutional relations, and recognizing and evaluating volunteerism. Accordingly, our first step was to implement volunteer cooperation protocols between institutions.”
They Declared 2022 as the Year of Youth Participation!
Continuing his speech by emphasizing that he saw the sparkle in the eyes of young people, Kasapoğlu reiterated that they declared 2022 as the year of youth participation and explained that all young people could benefit from the Ministry's opportunities. Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu said: “Make the most of all the opportunities of our Ministry. Keep your vision broad. Remember that we will always be by your side for whatever you need. You are the hope not only for us but for humanity. With your beautiful hearts and compassion, tomorrow will be much brighter, and the world will be a much more livable place.”
They Introduced Their Projects to Volunteer Students
Representatives of the selected exemplary projects and volunteer students attended the Award Ceremony. Representatives of each selected exemplary project introduced their projects to young volunteers invited from youth centers at their designated stands. The program concluded with a souvenir photo after the youth concert.
