Senior students of the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) Department, presented their graduation theses to the jury. This process, which aims to equip students with academic writing, literature review, and defense skills, ensures that students are better prepared for their master's studies.

The posters exhibited on the 2nd floor of Block A at the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Main Campus were met with great interest.

The posters displayed at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Main Campus were met with great interest by academics and visitors. Many academics, including Rector's Advisor and Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, and Head of Department Prof. Dr. Tunç Çatal, listened to the students' presentations and provided evaluations.

Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk: 'We ensure they complete the process in a healthy manner'
Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk stated that they aim to equip students academically. Konuk; 'This is an activity we have been carrying out since we started graduating our first students. Our curriculum includes a graduation thesis course. Before graduating, students prepare and write their theses on a topic they have chosen. Before thesis submission, they convert their work into a poster and present it to a jury. The score they receive from this presentation is directly reflected in their transcripts. Our main goal is to teach students how to write a thesis and how to conduct a literature review. After they determine their topics, we create a roadmap with the students within two to three weeks. Subsequently, we meet every week to evaluate which stage they are at, what they have done, and where they encounter difficulties. Thus, by guiding them, we ensure they complete the process in a healthy manner,' he said.

Prof. Dr. Tunç Çatal: 'Students are better prepared for master's studies'
Prof. Dr. Tunç Çatal, Head of the Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, emphasized that the system has positive effects on students. Çatal; 'Thanks to these efforts, students are better prepared for master's studies. At the same time, they gain defense experience while presenting their theses, allowing them to adapt more easily to academic processes,' he said.
