Midwifery students met in orientation program…

An "Student Orientation Program" was organized by the Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University. In the organized program, students were informed to support their adaptation to academic, clinical, and social processes. Many topics were discussed in the program, from education and clinical practice processes to quality studies, from student club activities to the functioning of the department.

The 'Midwifery Student Orientation' program was carried out by the Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University, to support students' adaptation to the department and university life. 

In the program held at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus Ibn Sina Auditorium, information was given about students' education and training processes, laboratory use, clinical practices, academic responsibilities, and the department's quality processes.

Education and Clinical Processes of the Midwifery Department Explained…

The opening speech of the program was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Tuğba Yılmaz Esencan, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Following the speech, the faculty members of the Department of Midwifery were introduced to the students.

Within the scope of the program, Research Assistants Aleyna Yıldız and Yaren Buse Cantimur provided information about the educational structure of the Midwifery Department, clinical practices, and issues students should pay attention to during their education. The functioning of courses, laboratory use, rules to be followed in clinical practices, and students' academic and professional responsibilities were discussed.

Information Provided About Quality Processes

Instructor Didem Kurap Öcebe, on the other hand, gave students information about Üsküdar University's quality processes. While the processes carried out within the scope of the Midwifery Department's accreditation and quality studies were conveyed, the role of students and the importance of their participation in these studies were emphasized. Additionally, information about department program outcomes was provided.

First Touch to Miracle Club Introduced

In the continuation of the program, the activities of the First Touch to Miracle Club were introduced to the students. 

Information was given about the club's activities, membership process, and activities that could contribute to students' social and professional development. Following the presentation given by Club Treasurer Nazar Özcanoğulları, an election and voting process was conducted to determine new members.

The program ended after a Q&A session where students' questions were answered and participant feedback was gathered.
