Prof. Dr. Güler Cimete: “We need to pass on our achievements to future generations”
Prof. Dr. Güler Cimete, Head of the Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University, emphasized the necessity of strengthening achievements further and passing them on to future generations. Cimete stated; “We see that very strong foundations were laid in the early years of the Republic. I believe that the steps taken especially for women are very important. In an era where gender discrimination is still very intense today, and where women's presence was overlooked or not acknowledged, women gained significant rights in many countries we consider developed, thanks to Atatürk. In our country, we have reached today as a reflection of this. We need to appreciate their value. We must continue to strengthen and further develop our achievements, embrace them wholeheartedly, and pass them on to future generations.”

Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University, spoke about the necessity of advancing ideas and development processes to better positions under current conditions. Ertekin stated; “I commemorate with respect and gratitude Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and all those, known and unknown, who contributed to the establishment of our Republic and supported its survival to this day, as well as those who have passed away. My belief that our Republic will advance and sustain its existence has never wavered. Such extensive undertakings were accomplished within this timeframe under the leadership of a leader with an exceptionally broad vision and worldview. How fortunate we are that such a leader emerged in our time. I believe it is our duty not to mourn our ancestor's passing, but to carry forward the ideas and development processes he initiated, advancing them to better positions in today's conditions.”
