Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine has started medical education accreditation efforts on a national and international scale. The first phase of its organized efforts with TEPDAD, a quality assurance body recognized by the Higher Education Quality Council and the World Federation for Medical Education, was a visit to Sağlık Bilimleri University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine.

Medical Faculty Begins Medical Education Accreditation Efforts

The meeting was attended by Sağlık Bilimleri University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Çetinkaya, Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ebru Kale, Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine alumni Fulya Senem Karaahmetoğlu and Zeynep Betül Özcan, and from Üsküdar University, Faculty of Medicine Accreditation Commission President Prof. Dr. Nilgün Tekkeşin and Faculty of Medicine Secretary Zeynal Abidin Kocadağ.
Accreditation preparation processes were discussed
During the discussions, the processes experienced by Sağlık Bilimleri University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine while preparing for medical education accreditation studies were mentioned. A mutual exchange of ideas took place.
Prof. Dr. Nilgün Tekkeşin and Faculty of Medicine Secretary Zeynal Abidin Kocadağ expressed their gratitude to the Sağlık Bilimleri University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine Accreditation teams for the valuable information and experience they shared.
It was stated that all academic and administrative staff and students participating in the accreditation efforts have embarked on this journey together to contribute to the improvement of medical education quality, healthcare delivery, and the development of public health.
