The training, held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Çarşı campus, was moderated by Dr. Demet Gülaldı, faculty member of the Child Development Department.
In the training, attended by final-year undergraduate students, graduate students, and academicians from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Child Development Department, emphasis was placed on the importance of coding.
Participants were introduced to computer-assisted analysis applications used in qualitative and mixed-methods research, and comprehensive training was provided on qualitative data analysis and the use of MAXQDA software.
At the same time, by using the software tool, detailed information was gained on how data analyses can be performed more effectively and efficiently in social sciences, and the necessary techniques and methods for in-depth analysis of research, especially in the field of child development.

“We started using MAXQDA in the data reading process”
MAXQDA Trainer Burak Ünal, speaking about the daily use areas of MAXQDA, said: “Research companies have many areas in their public opinion activities. When I was working in the automotive industry, I managed all my projects with MAXQDA. For example, in journalism, a lot of data needs to be dealt with. Journalists use this program. Psychologists from various professional groups use it for analyzing patient statements, and sociologists use it for field studies of social service workers. There are many such examples. We started using MAXQDA with the data reading process. When preparing a print on paper or a poster for a job, the visuals are low quality and pixelated. MAXQDA has completely eliminated these problems.”

“Your computer won't have a problem running it”
Burak Ünal, providing information, stated: “A new version of MAXQDA has been released. You can see current and new updates. You can view sample files from producers through MAXQDA for a fee. Your computer won't have a problem running it. You can directly take and open ready-made files here. In addition, for Turkish users, a Turkish project file has been added to MAXQDA with the 2024 version.”
Aimed to equip with the skill of effectively using digital tools
Through the training, participants will become more proficient in data analysis and will also have the opportunity to achieve more efficient results in their future research using powerful software like MAXQDA.
After the questions were answered, the event concluded with a group photo.
