The interest of international postgraduate students in Üsküdar is growing every day. A group of doctoral students from Kazakhstan visited Üsküdar University. The students engaged in scientific studies with academics and held discussions on scientific cooperation.
“Prof. Dr. Özdemir provided information about projects to Kazakh doctoral students”
Doctoral students from the Department of Sociology at Eurasian University of Kazakhstan, currently undergoing an academic internship in Turkey; Serik Aktayev, Yuliya Vyatkina, and Akjurek Altınbayeva visited our university and met with Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, Head of the Department of Sociology.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir spoke to the guest doctoral students about the academic projects undertaken by Üsküdar University. Özdemir also provided information to the guest doctoral students about the ‘Al-Mizan: A Covenant for the Earth’ project, organized by ‘Muslim Environmentalists,’ in which he is involved.
“Prof. Dr. Süleymanlı spoke about research in the fields of family and youth”
Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, on the other hand, spoke about the comparative sociological research in the fields of family and youth that Üsküdar University has conducted with a broad research group, including Kazakh academics. The guest doctoral students, who provided information about their own research topics, expressed their desire and wish to benefit from the experience of Üsküdar University academics.
