Kadıköy Municipality provides “Basic Life Support” training to healthcare professionals…

Instructor Nelis Bosnalı, Head of Operating Room Services Program at Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO), conducted a “Basic Life Support” training for dentists and auxiliary healthcare personnel working at Kadıköy Municipality Children's Oral and Dental Health Center. In the training, which addressed emergency scenarios, the aim was to develop the correct and effective intervention skills of healthcare professionals, while theoretical and practical information on basic life support practices was shared in line with current scientific guidelines. 

The training was held in the meeting room of Kadıköy Municipality Children's Oral and Dental Health Center. 

Within the scope of the program, it was aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals to enable them to intervene correctly and effectively in emergency situations.

Emergency scenarios evaluated

In the training conducted with active participation, emergency scenarios that may be encountered during dental practices were discussed. In the program, where the correct intervention steps were evaluated in detail, theoretical information as well as practical examples were shared.

During the training, the critical points to be considered in basic life support practices were emphasized, and approaches recommended in line with current scientific guidelines were also shared with the participants.

Of great importance for patient safety

Chief Physician Dt. Emel Akkerman stated that healthcare professionals being prepared for emergencies is of great importance for patient safety, adding that the training provided made a significant contribution to the knowledge and awareness levels of the team members.
