Furkan Tarhan: “Our University entered the top 500 universities in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals category, entering Eid with a beautiful gift”
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Board of Trustees Chairman Furkan Tarhan, noting that Üsküdar Üniversitesi entered the top 500 universities in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals category, stated: “It is wonderful to see everyone together, even if it's on screen. Online Eid greetings have become a tradition for us. I would like to emphasize that the Islamic world enters Eid with a heavy heart, especially in the context of the events in Palestine and Gaza. Our University entered the top 500 universities in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals category in 2023, entering Eid with a beautiful gift. I extend my gratitude to all our academic and administrative staff who contributed. I congratulate all our employees, including the entire Üsküdar Üniversitesi family, NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, the Dental Hospital, our medical centers, and our foundation, on their Eid. We are a huge family of approximately two thousand people. I wish everyone, along with their families, a happy Eid. I wish you health, happiness, and peace.”
Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “Eids provide an opportunity for cultural and social interaction”
Emphasizing that Eids are an opportunity to multiply smiles and love, Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör said: “Eids provide an opportunity for cultural and social interaction. Coming together, shaking hands, greeting each other, a mutual smile... These are wonderful opportunities to multiply smiles and love... Unfortunately, we who live in big cities immediately turn this into a holiday opportunity. In the hustle and bustle of the city, amidst the intensity of work, we see it as a chance to catch our breath, spend some time alone, and rest. However, under normal circumstances, it is, on the contrary, an important and beautiful value as a tradition of coming together, spending time together, and bonding... Now we are entering another one of our beautiful traditions, Eid al-Adha. On this occasion, we will all get some rest. I wish each of you a beautiful, happy, peaceful Eid with plenty of rest. May all beautiful things come during Eid, and may the beautiful things that come during Eid never leave.”
During the Eid greeting ceremony, which was attended by Vice Rectors, Rector's Advisors, Faculty Deans, Institute Directors, and academic and administrative staff, family members shared their Eid wishes in a sincere atmosphere.
