Asst. Prof. Dr. Burcu Çevreli: "We offer an internationally valid certificate"

Üsküdar University Medical Directorship Laboratory Animal Laboratory Responsible Manager, Course Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Burcu Çevreli delivered the opening speech for the organized training.

Çevreli stated; "With the laboratory animal training course, we aim to equip participants with the skills to work with mice and rats. This Ministry-approved program is organized in accordance with European Union regulations, and we offer an internationally valid certificate. Our instructors include Ministry officials. While our laboratories are inspected twice a year, the Local Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments ensures that all studies comply with ethical rules. Throughout the training, in addition to theoretical lessons, you will gain detailed information on animal welfare, experimental design, and ethical rules through practical training."

The certificate obtained upon completion of the course, supported by laboratory experience, offers career opportunities on national and international platforms.

Participants will work in groups of 5-7 and receive support from experienced volunteer students. Candidates undergoing a disciplined and intensive training process gain competence in the field of laboratory animals through this program.

Training reinforced with both theoretical and practical knowledge

The training, where theoretical and practical information on the use of laboratory animals in scientific research is conveyed, aims to offer significant opportunities to those who wish to develop themselves in this field.

Throughout the training, participants will gain a scientific perspective on the use of laboratory animals through lessons given by expert academics and will have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical training.

Certificate to be obtained at the end of the training

Participants who complete the program will be entitled to receive a certificate, enabling them to document their competence in this field. This certificate, which is mandatory for individuals who wish to conduct scientific research with laboratory animals, also constitutes an important step for those who want to pursue a career in related fields.
