Fatima Ahmad, Founder of the International Students of Islamic Psychology (ISIP), and her accompanying delegation visited Üsküdar University. The delegation met with Üsküdar University's Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, and discussed the integration of Bediüzzaman Said Nursî’s scientific and spiritual legacy into Islamic psychology. Within this scope, an Education Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (EMoU) was signed with ISIP.

The meeting, held at the Senate Hall of Üsküdar University's Central Campus, was attended by Üsküdar University Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, ISIP Founder Fatima Ahmad, ISIP Board Member and Central Asia–Russia Regional Representative Lokman Kanat, Üsküdar University Risale-i Nur Research Platform (RİNAP) Board Member Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, and Üsküdar University Head of International Relations Peyman Jaferi.

Scientific Collaboration and Joint Projects Discussed
Canada-based ISIP, an international organization operating with over 30,000 members in 25 countries, aims to foster scientific collaboration and joint research projects among Muslim psychologists.
During the meeting, ISIP Founder Fatima Ahmad emphasized the necessity of re-evaluating the legacy of great Islamic thinkers such as Hz. Mevlânâ and Imam Ghazali from the perspective of contemporary psychology.
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, on the other hand, spoke about his internationally acclaimed book “Mesnevi Therapy,” sharing the scientific foundations discussed in his work.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged regarding future joint research and projects that could be carried out between the two institutions.


Education Cooperation Memorandum Signed
Within the scope of the meeting, an Education Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (EMoU) was signed between Üsküdar University and ISIP. This protocol aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions, support joint research, and contribute to the global development of Islamic psychology.

Presentation Titled “Historical Foundations of Islamic Psychology” Held
Within the same event, Fatima Ahmad delivered a presentation titled “Historical Foundations of Islamic Psychology and Its Relationship with Modern Psychology” at the RİNAP Hall of Üsküdar University's South Campus. The presentation was attended by RİNAP Board Members Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, Dr. Lecturer Nafi Yalçın, Gürcan Onat, and RİNAP Secretary Seyda Ünlükul.

Exchange of Gifts at the End of the Visit
At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan signed and presented English editions of his written works as gifts to the guests.

In turn, the ISIP delegation presented Prof. Dr. Tarhan with a traditional Kazakh national robe to express their gratitude.
