Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan gave an exclusive interview to Yeni Akit. While making important evaluations regarding the question 'Is psychological immunity against coronavirus possible?' which everyone wonders about, Tarhan stated that the immune system cannot be developed if the coronavirus is seen as an enemy.

“People with high psychological immunity are more resistant to Covid”
Tarhan stated that the fear related to the coronavirus pandemic that has engulfed the world still continues to affect people and that applications to psychiatry clinics have increased. Emphasizing that people have a psychological immune system in their bodies, Tarhan said, “Individuals with psychological resilience have higher psychological immunity. They are more resistant to Covid.”
Tarhan stated, “If a person knows stress management and has developed problem-solving skills against life's difficulties, their psychological resilience is at a high level.” Tarhan argued that every pain and stress experienced should be seen as a vaccine, stating that in this way, the panic experienced during the pandemic would be overcome more easily and people would emerge stronger from the pandemic.
“Don't see Covid as an enemy”
In the continuation of his speech, Tarhan stated that the immune system cannot be developed if Covid is seen as an enemy. “We will not see Covid as an enemy. We will see it as a wind and ask how we can benefit from it,” said Tarhan, adding, “Being able to do this is very important for our psychological immunity and psychological resilience to endure.”
