Students of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, under the leadership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Emine Ekici and Lecturer Merve Çolak, participated in the “World Health Day” event organized at Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu Secondary School. Many faculty members and students from abroad also participated in the event, which was held within the scope of the “ERASMUS+” project.
“Participation from many different countries occurred”
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, organized a “World Health Day” event within the scope of the “WE CHOOSE HEALTH” ERASMUS+ student exchange mobility project for School Health Nursing practices.
In the project, which saw strong participation from faculty members and students from Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece, many students participated along with Üsküdar Üniversitesi faculty members Assist. Prof. Dr. Emine Ekici and Lecturer Merve Çolak.
“Emphasis placed on combating climate change”
At the event organized within the ERASMUS+ program, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Department of Nursing 4th-grade student Şeyma Sönmez gave an English presentation on the theme “Our Planet, Our Health,” determined by the World Health Organization this year.
In the presentation, she touched upon the causes and effects of climate change and made statements about what individuals should do to combat climate change.
At the end of the event, School Principal Semih Durmuş presented gifts to Üsküdar Üniversitesi faculty members and students for their significant contributions.
