Üsküdar University, which offers Turkey's first Bachelor's degree in Forensic Sciences under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, is achieving significant successes in the international arena with its forensic science students. İnci Yağmur Tezbasan, a Ph.D. student in the Forensic Sciences Doctoral Program at the Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences, was selected as member of the month by the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN), headquartered in the USA. Furthermore, two 4th-year Forensic Sciences students were accepted for a 2-week internship at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Crime Laboratory.

Ph.D. Student Selected as Member of the Month by IAFN
İnci Yağmur Tezbasan, a Ph.D. student in the Forensic Sciences Doctoral Program at the Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences, was selected as member of the month by the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN), headquartered in the USA. The center is regarded as one of the world's most important forensic nursing organizations.

Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, Director of the Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences and Vice-Rector, emphasized that Üsküdar University is in a good position in Turkey and on international platforms in terms of the quality of education offered, and stated that they are proud of their students' successes in the international arena. Atasoy noted the following: “The education and internship opportunities provided to students help graduates be equipped to compete in the labor market. This year, two 4th-year Forensic Sciences students were accepted for a 2-week internship at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Crime Laboratory. Last summer, four of our forensic science students interned at the same location. Our 2022 graduate, Sena Deniz, received acceptance for a master’s program in ‘Cognitive Forensic Sciences’ from Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. Furthermore, our Ph.D. student İnci Yağmur Tezbasan was selected as member of the month by the International Association of Forensic Nurses, headquartered in the USA. These are proud achievements.
