An Intern Doctor Orientation program was organized by Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine. Within the scope of the program, the structure of the healthcare system and the relationship between healthcare professions were explained. Additionally, information was provided on the importance of active participation during the clinical period and the challenges that may be encountered in a hospital environment. Students were given advice to be prepared for the new term by raising their awareness of the functioning of the healthcare system.

The program, held at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus Ibn Sina Auditorium, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur, Faculty of Medicine lecturer Prof. Dr. Aptullah Haholu, and Head of the Family Medicine Department of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Lecturer Ayhan Özşahin, along with students.

Professional guidance from Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak to intern doctors
Within the scope of the Intern Doctor Orientation Program, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak gave an informative presentation to intern doctors. Prof. Dr. Koçak drew attention to the responsibilities of the medical profession and situations that may be encountered in the field, conveying important information that will guide young doctor candidates in their professional lives.

Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur: "You become part of the same system with 55 healthcare professions"
Speaking under the title 'Provision of Hospital Services' within the scope of the program, Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur shared important information about the healthcare system. Emphasizing that the healthcare system is not just comprised of hospitals, Sur said; "There are 56 healthcare professions in Turkey, and you become part of the same system along with the other 55 healthcare professions." Sur stated that the World Health Organization defines the healthcare system as the sum of all organizations, individuals, and activities whose primary goal is to improve health, adding that family health centers and laboratories are also part of this system. Telling students that they need to understand how the system works, Sur drew attention to the fact that healthcare services are provided by both the public and private sectors, and touched upon the importance of knowing both structures.

Prof. Dr. Aptullah Haholu emphasized the place of the internship process in education
Speaking within the scope of the program, Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine lecturer Prof. Dr. Aptullah Haholu, in his presentation titled "Internship Period Education and Working Principles (Intern Doctor Directive)", explained the rights and responsibilities of students regarding their clinical practice period. Emphasizing the place and importance of the internship process in medical education, Prof. Dr. Haholu stated that this period is a critical step in the transition to medical practice.

Dr. Lecturer Ayhan Özşahin drew attention to the importance of being active in the field
Making a presentation titled "Information About the Intern Program and Intern Report Card Presentation" within the scope of the program, Dr. Lecturer Ayhan Özşahin, Head of the Family Medicine Department of Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, divided the medical education process into passive and active, drawing attention to the seriousness of the internship period. Stating that the sixth year is the most critical period when students begin to take on individual responsibility, Özşahin emphasized the importance of being active in the field and establishing effective communication with healthcare professionals during this process.

The program concluded with a group photo session after students' questions were answered.
