Üsküdar Üniversitesi Young Brains Academy and International Student Support Team, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, organized the event “Intercultural Bridge in Sustainability: From Awareness to Action”. The event, held within the framework of a social contribution vision, aimed to deepen the connection with nature.

Three different workshops were held within the scope of the event.
Sustainability in nature and social innovation workshop was held
In the event, carried out jointly by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Director of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Young Brains Academy, and Dr. Gülcan Ayral, International Student Relations Manager of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, students discovered ways to connect with nature while gaining practical knowledge on ecological awareness, nature-based education, and sustainable life cycles.

Seed ball workshop was held
In the workshop moderated by Psychologist Sinem Bayram, seed balls were prepared. These seed balls contributed to nature.
Natural deodorant workshop attracted great interest
In this workshop, led by Bioengineers Melike Özdemir and Melissa Gündoğdu, healthy alternatives inspired by nature were discussed instead of chemical products. Participants gained knowledge about ecological product design while producing their own natural deodorants.

An example of university, NGO, and public cooperation…
This event not only created a theoretical space but also an area where participants touched, produced, and felt responsibility. This gathering, an example of university, NGO, and public cooperation, offered young people the opportunity to gain knowledge on their sustainability journey.
