Industrial Engineering Students Learn ERP Applications Through Industry Experience

The Office of Industry Collaborations under the Career Center Department of Üsküdar University, in cooperation with Odoo, brought together the ERP course offered in the Industrial Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences with industry practices. This initiative aims for students to connect their academic knowledge with real business processes and gain practical experience with ERP systems.

Within the scope of sector-academy collaborations carried out by the Office of Industry Collaborations under the Career Center Department of Üsküdar University, the Industrial Engineering Department's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) course was combined with Odoo's sectoral expertise. 

With the course-sector matching realized through the academic contributions of Assoc. Prof. Muhammet Enis Bulak and the industry support of Odoo representative İrem Ece Dinç, it is planned to support the theoretical content of the ERP course with practical application studies.

Academic Knowledge and Industry Experience Meet in the Same Learning Process

ERP systems, which enable businesses to manage their resources, processes, and operations in an integrated manner, stand out as an important area of competence in the field of industrial engineering. In addition to being covered in academic education, learning ERP systems through practical application, by linking them to real business processes, contributes to the development of students' professional knowledge and skills.

In line with this, with the course-sector matching implemented, it is planned to support the relevant modules of the Industrial Engineering Department's ERP course with practical exercises to be carried out through Odoo's application infrastructure. This aims for students to connect the theoretical knowledge they acquire in the course with digital business processes and to experience the usage areas of ERP systems in businesses through practical application.

The Office of Industry Collaborations under the Career Center Department of Üsküdar University develops collaborations aimed at supporting course contents with professional applications by bringing together the needs of academic units with the expertise of industry representatives. These efforts aim to strengthen the connection between university education and the expectations of the business world and to support students in developing their professional competencies while their education processes continue.
