A delegation from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Illinois State University, United States, visited the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences. Information was provided to the group, which consisted of over 30 students, 4 professors, and 2 organizers. As part of the visit, the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Speech and Language Therapy Research and Application Center (ÜSESKOM) was toured, and information was given about the work carried out at the center.
The visiting delegation was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Aydın, Assist. Prof. Dr. Maral Yeşilyurt, Assist. Prof. Dr. Özlem Oğuz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Seçil Aydın Oral, Res. Asst. Dr. Göksu Yılmaz, Lecturer Ayşe Buse Saraç, Res. Asst. Ceren Söğüt, and volunteer students from the Speech and Language Therapy department, led by Head of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy Prof. Dr. Ahmet Konrot.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Konrot delivered a comprehensive speech about the development of the department and the profession in Turkey, as well as the activities specific to Üsküdar Üniversitesi.
Continuing the program, the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Speech and Language Therapy Research and Application Center (ÜSESKOM), a laboratory affiliated with the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, was toured, and information was provided about the work carried out at the center.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions about Speech and Language Therapy education and practices in Turkey.
The visit, which strengthened scientific sharing and collaboration, concluded with a photo session.
