Tekin, who is on the list of the world's most influential scientists published in Plos Biology journal by John Ioannidis and his colleagues from Stanford University, has shed light on important studies in the world of science and academia in recent years with his work in the field of medical radiation, which plays a significant role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and has made important contributions to the field of health.

Tekin was also awarded the 2018 Prof. Dr. Şevket Erk Young Scientist Award at the 34th International Turkish Physical Society Congress for his outstanding scientific achievements in physics.
