The "Career Planning in Dental Prosthetics Technology" event was organized by the Dental Prosthetics Technology Program of Üsküdar University's Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO). Emrah Tokkuş, Responsible Manager of UNEB Dental, attended the event. Students were informed about internships and career choices within the scope of the event.
The event, held at Üsküdar University's Çarşı Campus, was moderated by Dr. Damla Yılmazoğlu, Head of Üsküdar University's Dental Prosthetics Technology Program.
During the event, detailed information was provided to dental prosthetics technology students about summer internship processes.
Emrah Tokkuş Shared His Sector Experience
Emrah Tokkuş, Responsible Manager of UNEB Dental, shared his experiences in the sector, the challenges of the dental technician profession, and career opportunities with the students. Tokkuş offered advice on the requirements for being a good technician and the difficulties that may be encountered after graduation. Tokkuş said, “It’s a challenging path, but please persevere. Stay calm, work hard, and attend many courses. The sector truly needs good employees. You will overcome this with patience and hard work. I describe that 1-2 year period as follows: A car spins its wheels in the snow or on a difficult road. It spins and spins, and then once it starts moving, the road becomes smooth. Let's get through that initial struggle. I can say that once you pass that difficult 1-2 year period, a wonderful career awaits you.”
The event concluded after the presentation of certificates of appreciation and a group photo session.
