“Homicide Bureau and Crime Scene Investigation” Discussed in Üsküdar
“Murder is ending the life of a living being”
Speaking about the concept of murder, Demirbilek said; “People often confuse the definition of murder with the definition of a serial killer. There is so much conceptual confusion that we need to clarify these in some areas. Murder, first and foremost, constitutes a crime. For something to be a crime, it must be an act defined by criminal laws. Otherwise, if it is not in the laws, there is no crime. Murder is ending the life of a living being. In fact, when we look at it, killing a human, an animal, a plant, or any living thing is the same. So, is killing everything a crime? No, it's not. There are aspects where killing is considered a crime and aspects where it is not. Intentionally, willingly, and unlawfully ending a person's life is murder. We are specifically talking about unlawfully killing.”
“In cyber murder, all cyber and digital systems are used”
Speaking about the concept of cyber murder, Demirbilek said; “Murder is such a thing that it is the crime at the top of the pyramid. There is no greater crime in the world than killing a human being. The internet shapes our lives in every way. These developments also show us new examples of murder. The definition of cyber murder is confused with cybercrime. In cyber murder, all cyber and digital systems are used. If a person loses their life as a result of these, it is cyber murder. Lawyers could not define cyber murder for many years because there were different views.”
“We will soon face many more illegal clonings”
Speaking about biological cloning, Demirbilek said; “Biological clonings were actually done more in animals. Now the first human cloning has been done. As soon as it was done, decisions were made all over the world, and it was ethically banned. Of course, China did not listen to this. There are also many articles indicating that this was done in China. Everything done outside the law is illegal. We will soon face many more illegal clonings. It seems our troubles will increase. Currently, it is mostly stopped by ethics committees in the world. Laws always come much later. First, regulations are made, and then laws are formed. This is a topic that we will face in the near future.”
