High school students visited the Operating Room Services Program

Within the scope of the 'Education Cooperation Protocol' signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorship, and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students of Türkçimento Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School visited the Operating Room Services Program of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO). In the workshop activity held, students were practically taught the pre-operative preparation processes. Within the scope of the program, while students gained important information regarding the operating room environment, sterilization processes, and patient safety, it was aimed for them to gain awareness of professions in the healthcare field.

In the program held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus, high school students showed great interest in theoretical and practical trainings regarding operating room services.

“The Preparation Process of an Operation” workshop was organized

Within the scope of the visit, a vocational workshop titled “The Preparation Process of an Operation (Appendectomy)” was held by the SHMYO Operating Room Services Program in the university's operating room laboratory.

In the workshop, students were taught about;

-    Preparation of the operating room environment,
-    Sterilization processes,
-    Arrangement of surgical equipment,
-    Topics such as basic practices for patient safety were conveyed both theoretically and practically.

With the training held, it was aimed for students to closely understand the field of operating room services and gain professional awareness.

At the end of the event, students, stating that the practical training contributed to their career choices, expressed their satisfaction with the organization.
