High school students got a close look at biomedical device technologies

The training program held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus was followed with great interest by high school students.
Information was provided regarding the university preference process
Within the scope of the program, students were first introduced to the department and informed about employment opportunities by Instructor Eyser Kılıç, Head of Biomedical Device Technology Program. During the training, the educational content, fields of work, and career opportunities in the biomedical device technology area were conveyed in detail to help students make more informed university choices.
The training also explained, with examples, the importance of biomedical device technology in the healthcare sector and its critical role in the sustainability of healthcare services.
Practical training attracted interest
Within the scope of the program, students were shown;
- Operating principles of anesthesia devices,
- Monitoring of physiological signals such as SpO2, heart rhythm, pulse, and blood pressure,
- Basic and technical features of X-ray and mammography devices,
- Introduction to devices used in health technologies,
- Soldering applications were demonstrated practically.

Technical infrastructures were examined closely
In the practical demonstrations carried out by Instructor Mehmet Kavacık and Instructor Abdurrahman Şengül, students were explained the monitoring of physiological signals via an anesthesia device. Instructor Aybike Pirol Elmas provided information about the operating principles and areas of use of X-ray and mammography devices.
At the end of the program, one-on-one soldering applications were conducted with the students by Instructor Mehmet Kavacık and Instructor Aybike Pirol Elmas. Thanks to these applications, students had the opportunity to closely examine the technical infrastructure of devices used in health technologies.
Instructor Eyser Kılıç: “Technology and health are progressing together”
Highlighting the importance of technology in the field of health, Instructor Eyser Kılıç, Head of Biomedical Device Technology Program, said: “Biomedical device technology is one of the most important fields that enhances the quality of healthcare services.
