High school students learned about the physiotherapy profession at Üsküdar University

Within the framework of the 'Education Cooperation Protocol' signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorship, and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students from Ümraniye Merkez Anatolian High School and Ümraniye Anatolian Imam Hatip High School visited the Physiotherapy Program of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS). Within the scope of the program, students were provided with comprehensive information on physiotherapy education, career opportunities, and professional practices, and practical training conducted in a laboratory environment enabled students to get to know the field closely.  

The training program held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus was followed with great interest by high school students. 

General structure of the program introduced

Within the scope of the program, students were first comprehensively informed by Asst. Prof. Esra Erğun Keşli, Head of Physiotherapy Program, and Instructor Cansu Özbay. The general structure of the program, the education process, and the career opportunities they would have after graduation were explained in detail to the students.

Practical training was provided

During the workshop held in the Physiotherapy Laboratory, electrotherapy applications used in the field of physiotherapy were introduced. 

In addition to heat agents such as Paraffin, Infrared, and Ultrasound, the operating principles of electrotherapy devices like TENS and NMES were explained, and practical demonstrations were performed. 

To ensure active participation of students, all participants were offered the experience of paraffin application.

Will contribute to the university selection process…

With this event, while high school students were enabled to get to know the physiotherapy profession closely, it was aimed for them to gain important information that will contribute to their university selection process.
