Within the framework of the “Education Cooperation Protocol” signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorate and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students from Eczacı Neşem Al Namık Kemal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School visited Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program. Within the scope of the program, students gained information about diagnostic processes carried out in pathology laboratories, and practically experienced the examination of tissue samples and staining techniques in the “Diagnosing Eye” and “Colored Staining Application” workshops.

The training program held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus was followed with great interest by high school students.
Colored staining application was performed
Under the coordination of Asst. Prof. Eda Yetimoğlu, Head of Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program, workshops titled “Diagnosing Eye” and “Colored Staining Application” were conducted with the students within the scope of the event held at Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztek Pathology Laboratory.

They examined tissue samples
During the event, students gained information about diagnostic processes carried out in pathology laboratories, and had the opportunity to gain practical experience on the examination of tissue samples and staining techniques.

Theoretical knowledge was reinforced with practice
The event, followed with interest by the participating students, was considered an important experience in terms of offering a productive learning environment where theoretical knowledge was reinforced with practice.
