Senior local administrators of Üsküdar District, including AK Party Members of Parliament, the district governor, mayor, district national education director, and police chiefs, gathered at a dinner hosted by Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Founding Rector, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. During the evening, held in a cordial atmosphere and attended by the newly appointed Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı, potential collaborations were also discussed.
Attending the high-level protocol dinner held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi's South Campus were Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı, Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, Üsküdar District Police Chief Mehmet Baykara, from Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Board of Trustees President Furkan Tarhan, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk and Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, as well as Üsküdar District National Education Director Sinan Aydın, Üsküdar District Mufti Esat Yapıcı, Üsküdar Deputy Mayors Zekeriya Şanlıner and İsa Doğan, along with Üsküdar Üniversitesi Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Deputy Secretary General Asil Barış Bağ, Head of Strategy Development Department Ayşe Öztürk, and Head of Corporate Communications Department Tahsin Aksu.
Also present at the night were Halide İncekara, Istanbul AK Party Member of Parliament for the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th terms, along with Istanbul AK Party Members of Parliament for the 27th term, Mustafa Ataş and Mihrimah Belma Satır.
At the dinner, held in a cordial atmosphere with live music, topics discussed included projects to be developed through cooperation between the university and public institutions, as well as the improvement of dormitory, transportation, and accommodation issues concerning students
Furthermore, at the dinner, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Head of Strategy Development Department Ayşe Kartal stated that the initiative launched last year by Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, which provides support for university students' natural gas bills, is a great service, and that Üsküdar Üniversitesi students benefiting from the support were happy and satisfied that the support would continue this year.
