An accreditation evaluation was carried out at Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, which was included in the accreditation process by the Nursing Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (HEPDAK). The evaluation consisted of an online visit on 18 November 2025, followed by an on-site visit conducted between 30 November and 2 December 2025.


During the visit, the HEPDAK evaluation team conducted a comprehensive review of the undergraduate nursing education program, including educational and instructional processes, academic and administrative activities, as well as the administrative structure, operational processes, and physical infrastructure of Üsküdar University.

First Day at the Main Campus
On the first day of the visit, the evaluation team held a meeting at the Senate Hall of the Main Campus with Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Hikmet Koçak, Vice Rector Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin.
Comprehensive Presentation on the Department of Nursing
Following the meeting, Head of the Department of Nursing Prof. Selma Doğan delivered a comprehensive presentation to the evaluation team, university and faculty administrators, representatives from the Quality Department, and academic staff of the Department of Nursing. The presentation covered the institutional development of Üsküdar University and the Department of Nursing from its establishment to the present, educational and academic activities, the accreditation preparation process, and studies carried out within the framework of HEPDAK standards in education and other relevant areas.
On-Site Visits and Meetings Conducted by the Evaluation Team
The evaluation team then proceeded to the Health Campus, where they held separate meetings with academic staff, students, and representatives of administrative units, and observed classes in session. The team also examined the Nursing Skills Laboratory and other physical facilities, and visited affiliated hospitals used for practical training. Meetings were held with institutional administrators, responsible academic staff, and students involved in clinical practice.

The visit concluded on the final day with the reading of the evaluation results report by the head of the evaluation team.
