Health professionals, equipped with high-level knowledge and practical training in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases, are educated in faculties of health sciences. Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin stated that at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences, they aim to train health professionals in 13 departments to be well-equipped to serve society. The faculty also offers specialization opportunities with master's and doctoral programs, and students can benefit from minor and double major opportunities.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin highlighted the advantages of studying at the faculty of health sciences. Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin stated that health is a complete state of well-being in terms of the human body, mind, and social relationships, and that this state of well-being can deteriorate during the life process.

Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin noted that humans are a whole, stating, “A disease in one system can affect other systems, and consequently, our entire being can be affected, examples of which we have seen and continue to see during the pandemic we are experiencing. Professional groups trained in this field examine disease and health conditions in human systems. Within the 13 departments of our university's Faculty of Health Sciences, health professionals are trained with high-level knowledge and practical education in health conditions, diagnosis of diseases, treatment, and rehabilitation, to serve society.”
Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin stated that the undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Health Sciences, namely Nutrition and Dietetics, Child Development, Speech and Language Therapy, Midwifery, Ergotherapy, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Occupational Health and Safety, Audiology, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Perfusion, Health Management, and Social Services, complete their undergraduate process with theoretical and practical training provided by competent and experienced faculty members in their respective fields.

Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin also noted that students are offered specialization and academic career options in their fields through master's and doctoral programs, concluding his words as follows:
“We have master's programs in all our departments except Audiology, and doctoral programs in Speech and Language Disorders Therapy, Nursing, Occupational Health and Safety, and Health Management departments. Our university also offers minor and double major programs, which can be an advantageous choice for closely related professions if our students request them.”
