Health and Career Opportunities Discussed at Sector Meetings

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health, Culture and Sports Directorate and the Health Management Club organized the “Sector Meetings” event. The guests of the program held via Zoom were NPİSTANBUL Beyin Hastanesi Quality and Human Resources Manager Tuğçe Bezaz and Acıbadem Hospital Patient Services Field Operations Manager Anıl Özdemir. Tuğçe Bezaz, who gave advice to young people about their business mission, said; “My biggest advice to young people is to see every area of the hospital where they will intern. Seeing every area plays a big role in making quick and healthy decisions.” 


“We integrate the individual into the system in human resources”

Bezaz, stating that she is very happy to be working in the field of human resources, said; “My biggest advice to young people is to definitely see every area of the hospital where they will intern. It greatly contributes to determining which field an individual will work in and plays a big role in their ability to make quick and healthy decisions. It is very important to convey the satisfaction and current situation of employees in the human resources department to the management. The goal is not just to place people in jobs. These processes must be continuous. We integrate the individual into the system in human resources.”

“An enjoyable yet challenging job”

Emphasizing the importance of conciliatory communication for success, Bezaz said; “We are a bridge between management and employees. Speed and balance must be achievable. Giving up is not an option; on the contrary, producing creative solutions is the foundation of the job. We encounter many situations. There are times when we struggle to provide flexibility. However, managing the work and the process with passion is very important. Human resources is an enjoyable but challenging job.”

“The important thing is to ask myself, 'How can I improve myself in my professional life?'”

Bezaz pointed out that the healthcare sector is different from other sectors; “This is a sector that provides 24/7 service. We work with difficult people. Healthcare managers need to be able to make quick decisions. Managing stress and fostering team spirit are important factors. Those who possess these qualities and can develop themselves succeed in their professional lives. I believe that. The important thing is to ask myself, 'How can I improve myself in my professional life?'”

“You will be in a highly competitive profession”

Acıbadem Hospital Patient Services Field Operations Manager Anıl Özdemir also drew attention to the significant number of graduates in health management, stating; “Health management is a highly competitive field. Taking consistent and correct decisions is crucial. Candidates who will become good health management graduates do not graduate as managers yet; the manager title can be earned through successful steps.”

“Our patients are very valuable to us”

Özdemir, referring to the high value employees in patient services place on patients, noted; “When a patient comes to patient services and sees our ID badges, they see us as employees who know everything. You cannot say, 'This is my title, I cannot deal with this.' Even if medical support is not provided to the patient, we provide a service that maintains balance and knowledge in every aspect. Our patients are very valuable to us.”
