The 2025 Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Haydi Tut Elimi Rehabilitation Education and Aid Association, which has been operating within Üsküdar University since 2010, has been held. Chaired by Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Haydi Tut Elimi Association Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, the meeting discussed the activities carried out throughout the year and potential future collaborations.
The meeting, held in the Senate Hall of Üsküdar University's Central Campus, was attended by Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Haydi Tut Elimi Association Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Head of Commissions Prof. Dr. İsmail Barış, Secretary General Ayşe Banu Güngenci, Project and Education Commission Vice President Dr. Lecturer Nebiye Yaşar, Health Activities Vice President Dr. Lecturer Fatma Turan, Social Activities Vice President Serpil Tarhan, and association members.
Prof. Dr. İsmail Barış, Head of Commissions, moderated the meeting.
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “Volunteerism and dedication are our core principles”
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting, Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Haydi Tut Elimi Association Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized volunteerism and dedication in the association's work. Tarhan stated; “Social responsibility projects are not merely about visible activities. Such endeavors represent a spiritual realm of responsibility where an individual can transcend themselves and become part of a greater meaning. Work done with sincerity always finds its way. We have come this far with this understanding, and we will continue our journey with the same belief, even increasing our pace. Here, volunteerism and dedication are our core principles.”
Ayşe Banu Güngenci: “Every child is valuable”
In her presentation at the meeting, the Association's Secretary General Ayşe Banu Güngenci addressed the association's founding purpose and areas of activity. Güngenci stated; “The Haydi Tut Elimi Association was established to support children who are victims of neglect, abuse, violence, or who are drawn into crime. We conduct activities with the aim of protecting children in the 0-18 age group, providing protective mental health services, and integrating them into society. With the belief that every child is valuable, we strive to strengthen our social capital by preserving societal values.”
New board of directors determined
Within the scope of the meeting, the agenda items of the Ordinary General Assembly were discussed, and elections were held.
As a result of the voting held with the participation of association members, the new management and audit boards were determined. The election process was carried out in accordance with the bylaws.
The meeting concluded with a group photo taken after wishes and aspirations were shared.
