“Capitalist system normalizes pleasure-oriented life philosophy”

Evaluating addiction policies, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan pointed out that the capitalist system forces people into a pleasure-oriented way of life. Tarhan stated; “There is demand in addiction, there is prevalence. People are left helpless. Currently, the capitalist system normalizes a pleasure-oriented life philosophy. The economy is also progressing towards a pleasure-oriented economy.”

Rehabilitation centers can be established

Association members stated that they want to establish rehabilitation centers to produce permanent and qualified solutions in the fight against addiction. While efforts by organizations like Yeşilay are appreciated, it was emphasized that new centers are needed to meet the increasing demand.

The meeting, where issues such as sustainability, volunteering, spiritual values, and combating social problems were also discussed, concluded with a group photo session.
