The Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Health Sciences hosted prominent figures who came to Türkiye for the International Stuttering and Self-Help Symposium. During the visit, productive discussions were held on planned joint studies, research, and training programs in the field of stuttering.

As part of the symposium, Tom Scharstein, Jamie Googan, Annie Hernandez, and Lisa Talley visited the NP Health Campus of Üsküdar University and met with faculty members of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy under the leadership of Prof. Ahmet Konrot, Head of the Department.

The visit included fruitful exchanges on planned collaborative work, research, and educational programs in the field of stuttering.
This meaningful gathering is expected not only to open new academic horizons for students but also to contribute to the development of initiatives aimed at supporting individuals affected by stuttering.
